Professor Sławomir Kuszczak’s painting attempts to reconcile what has been experienced with what is known. The author starts from personal experience. They become a sketch on which the knowledge of the world – its phenomena and history is superimposed. This way, diverse associations are created, and images interpret the complex reality. SŁAWOMIR KUSZCZAK (born in 1966) studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Poznań (painting) and the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana (graphic arts)—a diploma in painting, with an honourable distinction, at the atelier of Professor Jan Świtka. Since 1990, he has worked at the Academy of Fine Arts (University of the Arts ) in Poznań.
Kuszczak was awarded scholarships of DAAD and of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. He held lectures at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana (Slovenia), at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cluj-Napoca (Romania) and at the Academy of Architecture and Design in Prague. He completed teaching internships at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin and at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Braunschweig.
He presented his paintings, drawings and graphics at numerous individual and collective exhibitions in Poland and abroad.
