ELŻBIETA SIEGOCZYŃSKA
Elżbieta Kaniecka-Siegoczyńska, graduate of the Liceum Sztuk Plastycznych in Częstochowa and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (1964-1970), where she received her diploma with distinction in the artistic weaving studio under Prof. Anna Śledziewska and Prof. Wojciech Sadley, is a renowned artist and creator of artistic textiles.
Her primary field of work is tapestry, though she also engages in drawing. She has a record of pedagogical and art-therapeutic activities. For many years, she led an artistic weaving studio and worked as an art therapist in medical institutions. Her works reveal exceptional sensitivity and emotionality, particularly in subtle drawings inspired by nature. She is a member of the Association of Polish Visual Artists and has held numerous exhibitions. She was a three-time stipendiary of the Minister of Culture and Art (now the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage).
